Ján Vaščák Automatic Adaptation of Fuzzy Controllers

 Not chosen

 31.10.2004

The main drawback of ‘conventional’ fuzzy systems is the inability to automatically design and maintain their knowledge base. To overcome this disadvantage many types of extensions adding the adaptivity property to those systems were designed. This paper deals with the so-called direct adaptation methods of fuzzy control design and especially, with two ones of them: an improved, the so-called, self-organizing fuzzy logic controller designed by Procyk and Mamdani as well as a new hybrid adaptation structure, called gradient-incremental adaptive fuzzy controller connecting gradient-descent methods with the first type. Both types of adaptive fuzzy controllers are shown on design of an automatic pilot and control of LEGO robots. The results and comparisons to a 'conventional' (non-adaptive) fuzzy controller designed by a human operator are shown, too.

Vladislav Vančura Control Model of Safety Management on Gassy Mines

 Not chosen

 31.10.2004

For ensuring the safety and production control on gassy mines the monitoring and control systems are used which enable permanent monitoring and management of a mine by inspection service and production dispatcher. The goal of this project is to create an intelligent model of safety control and, with suitable software, to verify its behavior (e.g. program Graf_Síť). Further, this intelligent model of safety control is to be tested on monitoring and control system MTA 11.00 in the Paskov Mine, plant Staříč. The intelligence of this solution consists in the fact that the measured values will be utilized for deduction of further information which will not be obtained by direct measuring but follow from mutual relationships of automatically measured values. It is necessary, for fulfilling of the above mentioned targets, to analyze the existing state of monitoring and control systems in underground mines. Further, to carry out the complex analysis of monitoring and control system MTA and, subsequently, to go to proposal of algorithm of switching in monitoring and control system with relation to network model of a mine. In a simplified way but accurately the target of this project can be characterized as proposal of the system which would evaluate all information obtained from a mine and related to safety nearly so well as if it is done by a man who monitors permanently the computer terminal in dispatching

Svetla Vassileva Rule-based control - Design and performance

 Not chosen

 31.10.2004

This paper deals with some aspects of the rule -based control. The rule -based controller design methods are discussed and compared. New simulation results, obtained on the basis of the data from real-time experiments, carried out with a robust pre-production type of the magnetoreological (MR) shock damper and its controlled behavior by implementing both – the Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Logic Controller and adjusted by GA-FLC, are presented.

Milan Balara, Anton Petík The properties of the Actuators with Pneumatic Artificial Muscles

 Not chosen

 31.10.2004

The article concerns the actuator with one pneumatic artificial muscle and spring which is acting again the direction of pull force of the pneumatic artificial muscle. This solution needs only one inlet and one outlet of the electromechanical pneumatic valve. The article concerns also the actuator with two McKibben´s type pneumatic artifical muscles in the antagonistic configuration. They are acting again the force of the other artificial muscle. The actuator is realized by using of two artifical muscles of Shadow Air Muscle type. This solution needs two inlets and two outlets of the electromechanical proportional or on – off pneumatic valves. At last cause it is suitable for the solving of low cost bioservosystems. The paper contents the mathematic descriptions, static characteristics of the parts of actuator and characteristics of the all mechanism.
