Slovak Society for Cybernetics and Informatics at Slovak Academy of Sciences

 

Slovak Society for Cybernetics and Informatics (SSKI) is a scientific and technical organization that supports implementation of informatics,  automatics and cybernetics into industrial processes and services. The Society was established on 22 September 1966 under the title Slovak Society for Cybernetics at Slovak Academy of Sciences.

SSKI activities are aimed at:

·      dissemination of research results and development in the fields of cybernetics, informatics and artificial intelligence

·      improvement of technical level of its members and supporti of their scientific and technical work

·      cooperation with institutes of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, universities, scientific and research workplaces, companies and other organizations.

 

Since 1987, SSKI has been member organization of the European Coordination Committee for Artificial Intelligence (ECCAI) and since 1992 the Slovak National Member Organization in the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC).

SSKI regularly organizes international conferences Cybernetics and Informatics, minulosti and was organizer of 4 IFAC conferences (IFAC Workshop New Trends in Design of Control Systems, Smolenice 1994 a 1997, IFAC Conference Control Systems Design, Bratislava, 2000 a 2003).

SSKI  publishes the Journal of Cybernetics and Informatics (electronic version).

SSKI registered office is Faculty of Electrical Engineering  and Information Technology of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava – Institute of Control and Industrial Informatics.
