Conferences

Slovak Society for Cybernetics and Informatics (SSKI) has been organizer of International conferences „Cybernetics and Informatics“.

The conferences focus on presentation of control methods and algorithms, new control systems, information and communication technologies (ICT) and their industrial applications. Their main aim is to provide a general forum for researchers, teachers and users from practice dealing with practical problems of control and ICT.

Since 2000, when the registered office of SSKI became the Department of Automatic Control Systems (now Institute of Control and Industrial Informatics) at the Faculty of Electrical Enginering and Information Technology, Slovak University of Technology, following conferences have been organized:

20th Conf. Cybernetics and Informatics  - Piešťany, 5- 6 April, 2001
21th Conf. Cybernetics and Informatics - Trebišov, 4-6 Sept., 2002
22th Conf. Cybernetics and Informatics - Dolný Kubín, 9-11 Feb., 2005
23th Conf. Cybernetics and Informatics  - Michalovce, 28-30 June, 2006
24th Conf. Cybernetics and Informatics - Ždiar, 10-14 Feb., 2008

SSKI as the Slovak National Member Organization (NMO) in the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC)  has organized following conferences under the auspices of IFAC:

1st IFAC Workshop “New Trends in Design of Control Systems”  - Smolenice, 7-10 Sept., 1994
2nd IFAC Workshop “New Trends in Design of Control Systems” - Smolenice, 7-10 Sept., 1997
1st IFAC Conference “ Control Systems Design”  -  Bratislava, 18-20 June, 2000
2nd IFAC Conference “ Control Systems Design” - Bratislava, 7-10 Sept., 2003

The objective of these conferences was to present the state-of-the-art in control of processes based on  using advanced control methods  including linear, nonlinear, adaptive, robust and intelligent approaches. Conference attendees were leading scientists and experts from more than 25 countries.
